CPAP with Futuristic Humidifier

Okay! Here's a fairly far out and wacky one. A CPAP unit with a fairly unorthodox built-in humidifier. Unorthodox in that you don't need to fill the humidifier's resevoir with water (except for on exceptionally dry days or in exceptionally dry climates). The humidifier would actively harvest moisture from the ambient air in much the same way a dehumidifier does. Thus the unit essentially becomes a humidity concentrator/redirector. It would deliver this collected humidity right into the CPAP's air circuit. Getting the unit's overall size down would certainly be a huge design challenge---but, hey, this is wish list forum isn't it? A small enough unit would be great for travellers who might otherwise worry about placing unsuitable tap (or river/pond???) water into their humidifiers.
